ATV tracks---but no evidence of surfing---on a wave terrace created by Lake Bonneville

Floating Island, Utah

Walking through a remote, barren environment has its pleasures, but this is not one of them:
discovering that someone drove an all-terrain vehicle up here. It seems appropriate that such vehicles
should stay below, on the level of the gravel road. How old are these tracks? How long will they endure?

How long will they endure? Almost as long as the prints you left by walking up there. Next time you see a park ranger complain to him, he'll be on a dark coloured Honda
