Reef prow (posted out of sequence--should be higher in gallery)

San Rafael Reef, Utah

Hiking toward the skyline of the reef involved finding a way around dead-end routes
on the tops of rock formations like this one. The downhill side (hidden) of this prow
is a gentle slab of rock, easily ascended. My progress was stopped by just such a
formation: its uphill end looked much like this, but smaller.
