The brownish "hill" in the distance is Lion Mountain, three miles (five km) distant. While visiting the Sun Tunnels I got the feeling it would be a good place from which to gaze upon the landscape. After leaving here I drove to its backside and hiked to the summit ridge, but by then the sunny weather had been replaced by a very dark sky that threatened to generate bolts of lightning.
