Looking southeast at West Wendover, Nevada. Just right of center is Wendover Boulevard running downhill toward two large buildings (gambling casinos). Before before Interstate 80 was built, it was the main highway. Beyond those casinos it crosses the state line into Wendover, Utah.

The white building at far right is a shopping center whose largest tenant is Smith's Grocery Store (part of the Kroger grocery empire). Beyond the city are salt/potash evaporation ponds, then salt flats, then the Cedar Mountains, about 60 miles (96 km) away.
