All right---solid ground again! From the mini-amphitheater I ascended a very gentle slope through
sand and bedrock islands to reach a higher plateau of sandstone bumps. This shot is very near the
top of the plateau, just north of the "Rest break blob"seen on the route map. At this point I am thinking that
in a minute or so I will be able to see the far side of the canyon and perhaps Delicate Arch itself.
