This shot, taken at the mouth of the canyon just explored, looks to the southeast at sandstone and
the snowy La Sal Mountains. I have just passed the spot from which I saw the three deer on the way
into the canyon. My route from the amphitheater (part 2 of hike) came from behind the shadowy cliff
at right. Now to turn left and walk around the back side of the canyon just explored.
