Looking down on SJC 142, an amphitheater, and the Colorado River

Dead Horse Point State Park (Moab, Utah)

This view is from Dead Horse Point State Park, 1600 feet (488m) above San Juan County Road 142
and 2000 feet (618m) above the river. The amphitheater lies between the large swath of greenery
(mostly tamarisk) and the road. The river is flowing from left to right. The view from the
