Another challenge awaits

Near Shafer Trail &Thelma and Louise Point, Utah

Once I had descended to this "bench" I was still separated from the canyon floor
by a band of weirdly-eroded sandstone bulbs and fins (visible at middle left).
Again I was forced to continue on traverse in hopes of finding a way to the bottom.

Forward!---without stepping on the lumpy cryptobiotic soil.
