When the lakebed is exposed, it reveals no mud, no sand, no rocks, and no seaweed---just salt.
Walking on it has a slightly squishy feel. The water in the foreground is only two or three
inches deep---if even that. Beyond the jetty it gradually deepens.
The pink color comes from algae in the water.
