In a partially-developed housing area called "The Lakes," mailboxes stand in silent anticipation of future usefulness. Behind them is an empty, barren tract designed to hold numerous houses, some of which will abut an artificial lake.
The railing at left is mounted where a storm drain channels runoff from the street into the lake. It is the same design as one that appears in another photo.
