A hint of rails is the only sign of a former siding in eastern North Bend, Washington. This was a Milwaukee Road branch line that ran north from Cedar Falls to North Bend, Carnation, Duvall, and I think on to Snohomish or Monroe. This view looks northwest across Southeast Third Street. Downtown North Bend is about two miles straight ahead.

I had just crossed the road and turned around for this photo, which was produced with an iPhone 5 while I was seated on my recumbent trike.
