I'm making a final check of the handcart before starting a second hike with it. This was two weeks after the first attempt, which I had aborted because of poor conditions on the mud flat. In the intervening two weeks, all the wet mud had dried out and firmed up somewhat. The first day I hiked six miles with the handcart and camped on the mud flat. The next day I returned. The cart works!
