Me, cropped

view map

I hate the way these smaller-than-35mm sensors crop images.

Shot on the mud flats at the southeast portion of Crater Island, Utah. Crater Island is just north of the Silver Island Mountains and to reach it one must cross the route traveled by the Donner-Reed party of pioneer fame.

The curvature of the horizon was caused by the 18mm setting of the lens. Geo-tagging is approximate.

My assistant, Joe Tripod, was uncropped and unfazed throughout this photographic session. He just stood there on the mud and held my camera.

I wish Tom would not have brought that up. It is never a good sign.

Either nobody has noticed it, or they were reluctant to mention it, but ... if one looks closely, they'll see that not only are you headless but your shadow is as well. A great trick performed by but a few ...

Larry, Joe's future is bright and full of promise. He looks forward to opportunities to touch mud flats, salt flats, and sandstone. Thank you for being interested in his situation: he appreciates it.

At least Joe has your back.
Is there anything at all on the horizon for him?

It is a small world, after all.

You're still more than half the man you used to be, Dave.

Maybe you just need a bigger camera.

I enjoyed the flickr shots Dave. Time to buy a D700 I think
