Looking west from Peak 5297 at the high point of Crater Island, Peak 5743 feet (1750m).
Crater Island is the northern extension of Utah's Silver Island Mountains, northeast
of Wendover. It is a bleak environment composed of several peaks. The dirt road seen
here originates at Donner-Reed Pass (off to the left), the dividing point between
the Silver Island Range and Crater Island. In the background: the Pilot Range.
