'Tis the start of breeding season for a lot of avian creatures now, and rainforest birds are no exception.

I saw a couple of Green Imperial-Pigeons performing a mating ritual high in the canopy. Each alternately chased the other in endless circles, while walking along the high branches. Every now and then, they stopped, and individually bobbed their bodies and heads while making amorous calls. They then reversed their chaser-chasee roles. This went on for over half an hour, and I just stood there, mesmerized by the spectacle.
