Trying out the 1DMII at South Lagoon

I visited the South Lagoon (Las Pinas City, Philippines) this morning of December 16th to try out my newly-acquired Canon 1D Mark II at flying birds. The sun did not cooperate, as it hid behind the clouds. Though light was not good, I was able to explore the settings of the 1DM2 that will suit my style of shooting. This camera's robust auto-focus and 8.5 fps frame rate is a killer in tracking fliers. No keepers for today, but I got a welcome lifer nonetheless - the uncommon Black-Headed Gull...;-)
