A nesting Philippine Bulbul

Fatbirder's Top 1000 Birding Websites

I visited yesterday a beach resort at San Juan, Batangas that lies near the foot of a mountain. There were not many birds around because the resort was full of people -
a film crew shooting a TV drama series. I'm still lucky though to see a nesting Philippine Bulbul. I quickly took a few minutes of footage, then quietly walked away from the nest.
With my binos, I just enjoyed watching from a distance one of the parent birds feed the nestlings. Looks like the Kennedy Guide is spot on in its description of the nest.
Interesting to note too that the parent bird arrives near the nest with no visible food in its bill, rather it feeds the young with regurgitated meals.

Here's a short video of the nesting bird that's posted in my video gallery.
