These past few days, a mixed flock of Chestnut and Scaly-breasted Munias composed of adults and immatures have been visiting the vacant lot near my house to feed on the overgrown grasses.
This presents an excellent opportunity for me to get close to these birds, as I can use a concrete fence to hide my approach. My glass of choice for this job is the medium range 100-400 IS for
the close focusing distance, light weight and IS, which helps a lot in hand holding.
