The rains came in early in the morning so I have to call it a day prematurely, but I got one lifer nonetheless...8-)

The Better Beamer flash extender continues to amaze me. Available light for hand holding the 500 mm Bigma at 1/640 sec, in the forest undergrowth and under a sky laden with rain clouds, is a rare commodity.
Sulphur-billed Nuthatch (A Philippine endemic) Scientific name - Sitta oenochlamys isarog Habitat - Common from lowland to montane forest, the only true creeping Philippine bird.

perhaps I think Sulphur-billed Nuthatch also ranges to other part of Southeastern Asia.I t can be found in Hainan,Hongkong etc.

Thanks for visiting.

New wild bird pics, except the unmistakable ones, are not yet named because I'm still ascertaining their ID. Pretty shortly, the IDs are placed after confirming these with the various guides and fellow birders. When an old pic has no ID, it means that we're not sure what the bird is.

Your photographs continue to amaze. I am finding it easier to "memorize" the topographic details of specific birds from your photos than even from Kennedy. For viewers like me, could you identify each bird in your photo galleries, please.
