Candaba wetlands before the migrants go home

I paid a short visit to Candaba this April 3rd to check whether the migrants are still around. Yup, a lot of them are still here, fattening up and storing fuel for that long flight to their northern breeding grounds shortly.

The Purple Swamphens were less shy and their number has apparently increased (I counted 5 individuals during this sortie). I got better pics of this large water bird, not super keepers yet, but I'm confident that I'll be able to improve in the future. These birds have nowhere to go except the big pond, and as their population increases, the chances of capturing a good pic also becomes better.

Nice Shots, but not very sharp, I suppose is du to the limitation of 300-800.
