I checked out Candaba wetlands again this December 2nd and 3rd. Water is still deep in many of the ponds, and this is possibly why the water birds are still dispersed over a wide area. Perhaps when
the outlying ponds dry up in the coming weeks, more birds will be concentrated in the Big Pond. I got a few closeups in this sortie, and among these is what I think to be a sub-adult Plain Bush-Hen.
