Candaba wetlands is still not accessible to vehicles, so I had to walk the last kilometer to the big pond under the hot sun, with me and my birding buddy Arnold carrying heavy gear and provisions.
The hike was amply rewarded with my most detailed captures so far of my nemesis bird - the very ornate Pheasant-Tailed Jacana, in its full "breeding plumage" glory.
