Oriental Pratincoles at Candaba wetlands

In this April 3rd visit to my favorite wetlands, I saw dozens of Oriental Pratincoles foraging on a field. Every now and then, some individuals visited the nearby pond to drink, across which I waited in ambush with my 20D + 500 f4 IS + stacked Canon/Tamron 1.4x TCs resting on a bean bag.

Also in this sortie, I finally caught the Island Collared-Dove in flight. A few captures of flying ducks and other wetland birds topped off the trip.
