I didn't know that Little Grebes can fly. Every time I spook this bird, it dives into the water and reappears farther from me, in what it probably thinks is a safer area. I was astonished yesterday (March 20th) when I saw one in flight over the pond waters of Candaba wetlands. The direction of flight is away from the camera, but I'm very happy with the novel capture...:)
