Plaintive Cuckoo at Candaba wetlands

I've been here many times, but this is the first instance I saw a cuckoo species in these wetlands.

A documentary shot of a male Green-winged Teal (plus a possible female) add another lifer (my 252nd) to my list. I need to go back and get better shots of this new duck.

*Visited Candaba this February 26th, but it drizzled the whole day.... went home empty-handed except for a few shots of the regulars.
