These two are really blood brothers. They are Rob (left) and Ewan (right), siblings of the Frith clan.

Ewan has long been my partner in crime at work, though no longer as he left our company last week. So why are you with him today then, Linda? Well, he’s a surfer dude and is spending his ‘gap week’ between jobs at Perran sands, surfing with Rob, his brother.

He is very proud of of his Longboard, which is an Oxbo Slick, with a very William Morris design. I might as well have been talking Urdu then for all the sense it made to me but that’s what I have been told to say!!!

I had an idea for an ‘Alas Smith and Jones’ style portrait of the two of them. If you want the truth, they weren’t this close but DM worked some photoshop magic with the pic….BUT that’s no more than a lot of folks do regularly. They weren’t though on the other side of the room from one another as the real sketch was filmed…..they were approximately eight inches apart – this is one photo. There were many quips about being in such close proximity but I suspect they quite like the shot.

So, what’s been on the agenda – lots of food and wine. What’s been the conversation? Surf, Border Collies, chillis, a little bit of ‘shop’ between Ewan and I but if truth be told, it extended to a little teeny bitch sesh about someone we both know.

Ewan is worrying about his stubble and Rob is worrying about his hairdo and they’re both saying ‘can we have a copy for our Mum?’

I am glad to have Ewan as a guest….I hope he comes to see us more often.
