Foyles was one of the places I loved to be taken by my parents when i was young. It is a huge book shop where I've always believed you can by any book that's in print. I'm sure that's not quite true but nonetheless it is a marvellous place.
For many years it had a strange system where you chose the book you wanted then an assistant took it off you, gave you a docket and you went to pay for the book elsewhere. Then you went to a third point to collect your wrapped book. I don't think people would be prepared to do that now so they have a conventional system now.
