The next leg of the great PotD world tour comes to Sandhurst.
Ian is here with us for the weekend and Ray has joined us tonight for dinner. I think it’s gonna be a good night. It’s interesting that this meeting has been much less ‘mad’ than the NYC trip that was memorable for the constant peals of laughter coming from Jeanne, Jill and Lara. There is loads of ‘camera’ talk going on behind me as I type this….the Nikon Canon debate isn’t really much of a debate here as we all have Canons so the Nikon has been dismissed summarily. Size seems to be mentioned quite a lot!!!
It’s also surprising how many people in this group of ours hate to have a camera pointed at them….Ian and Ray had to be dragged into this shot. Still, I got them captured nicely – don’t you think they all look very blue-eyed? Jill, they are almost as bad as you, saying ‘don’t take my pic-ture’.
We’re about to go and have a big meal and a lot of chat and maybe even a lot of wine! Well, perhaps the maybe is a little conservative – let’s just tell the truth shall we and say we WILL drink a lot of wine. We’ve got a couple of bottles of Chateauneuf-du-Pape from Ian that will go down nicely with the pasta, foccaccia and salad that we’re about to consume. Oh and some blue gin – mother’s ruin? Well, maybe my ruin I suspect – perhaps a Zantac before bed will be in order tonight!!!
This weekend has been eagerly awaited by us all for weeks – I think it’s going to be a good one!
We’ve had such an exciting time so far…..pressies, a trip to buy power tools and that’s just the beginning of this weekend’s fun. What next I hear you ask? Well, you’ll just have to wait till tomorrow to find out won’t you!
Please note MY $100 bill behind David's ear!!!
