a small celebration tonight

David says it's the first time he's seen me smile in a week. Dunno if I'll still be smiling at 10pm after the footie finishes!!!

We're celebrating two down and one to go. My December presentation workload is nearly over...this afternoon's video conference presentation with my US clients went down a storm and that one can now be regarded as 'in the bag'. They were really happy with the results and as it was such a strategically important client to me and strategically important topic to them, I feel really pleased. (To put it mildly.)

My colleagues said it couldn't be done. They advised against proposing and were wholly opposed when they found out we'd won it. That makes it even better from my point of view. My team worked so well as a team, each of us supporting the remaining team members and delivering a good project in tremendously difficult circumstances.

Now for tomorrow's strategically important presentation for a strategically important client....a 6.30am start to deliver a presentation in a hotel at Heathrow Airport for a client flying into the UK then flying straight back out after delivery. The good news? I'm fully prepared for this one, the presentation was finished days ago and I know what I want to say already.

Then? Wind down to the holiday break. Hurrah!

Lovely image. Hope you didn't go too overboard on red wine in your celebration - wouldn't want you to mess up the well-rehearsed-presentation.

Good for you! You clearly take your job very seriously, and I'm not surprised you are so good at it.

Aside from that, this is one of the best drippy candle shots I've seen. Very well exposed, the flame isn't over blown...CooL!
