preparing a feast

I've only set foot outside my door twice today - once to feed the small critters and then later to go to Woolies to get some santa hats (don't ask). Otherwise the PC has been my only friend! My finger tips are sore from typing and my eyes are sore from looking at my monitor.

I've just broken off to go downstairs and start to cook supper while my mind was wandering over what I should photograph for today's diary when I suddenly realised the nicest thing I'd seen all day (apart from David and the dogs and the hens and the wabbits of course) was in front of me on my chopping board, waiting to be made into spag bog (obviously with a few other ingredients). So here it is!

I'm really looking forward to that supper - I can smell it cooking and I'm salivating.......mmmmmmm.

Spag bog translates really easily into a vegetarian version...in fact, I've fed it to meat eaters and they've not been able to tell the difference and of course it's much lower fat! Not that I'm twig-like because of being veggie - oh how I wish I was! I think food is just too important to me. It strikes me that you can spend too much time fretting about calories and fat and it eventually consumes your enjoyment of food. So, I stay 'nicely rounded' and proud of it!

It's a very clean and vivid picture, the details are so live like. The color is so nicely saturated and realistic

Spag bog? Never heard that term before. :) Such a great shot.

Anyone who can give the goddess the confidence to follow her heart - be my guest. And that dream and journey includes sharing her wonderous photography...

By the way - have you tried quorn, Linda? It's quite cool, although not good for people with allergies...and totally v-e-g-i-e! Yay!

Hi Linda... This looks scrummy, we've been eating 'em stuffed with risotto rice mixed with artichoke hearts (canned) sun-dried tomatos and loads of stilton cheese. MMmmm... baked in the oven till the cheese melts and the pepper is tender... Oh Yum, this could almost convince me to become a veggie!!

Laughing because just a few moments ago, I had all my peppers out for the preparation of a Spinach Salad. Linda, I hope I am not being to forward, however, have you considered sending some of your work for advertisement? You capture the light, texture. One feels they can just reach for that pepper and take a bite.
