Arch agrees.....it's good to be home

It's strange for the dogs (going on holiday that is) - their routine is upset and they get transported to a strange house and get far more walks than normal. They also get to go in pubs and get loads of fuss from the clientele and often management too - this time they've discovered a lovely, new(?!) pub snack called pork scratchings - yum, they both said.

Travelling is also an interesting experience - we have an estate car so there is plenty of room for them and we kit out the back with their beds and a few toys. Archie loves it - he absolutely adores watching the world go by and having the odd snooze in the sunshine. Rosie on the other hand hates it and becomes the moody little bitch from hell - every time we go round a roundabout or bend, she slides into Arch then snarls at him - poor Archie!

We always take toys (Rosie lost six tennis balls on Toby's beach......Toby and his pals at Rainbow Bridge are playing with them now) but since we got home, Archie has been carting round this 'Wiggly Giggly' as though he couldn't bear to be parted from it! Funny old chap. Wiggly Giggly is such a cool toy for those who've not come across them. It's a weighted ball with (my vocab isn't up to this) thingys that have a noise in them when you turn them over - it's a bit like a sheep baaing. When they are turned over, it shifts the weight and baas so you get a kind of drunken rolling of the ball and a demented baaing noise that prey drive dogs just love. Unfortunately for Archie but fortunately for us this one has lost its baa and its wobble but he still loves it.
