My day has, once again, been gruelling - a 5.30am start, a 400 mile round trip and pouring rain for much of the journey. All day I've been on tenterhooks waiting for THE call from David to say we've exchanged contracts on his house. It didn't happen.
I got home and despaired of it ever happening and then, all of a sudden, activity......a phone call saying it was about to happen......David and I holding hands and breath and almost expiring from baited breath. A short but seemingly interminable wait and it happened.
We are now (well will be in a couple of weeks as these contracts can't be broken) solvent for the first time in two years and we will only have one house to worry about and that's our own. How good is that feeling? Absobloodylutely marvellous!
I think I need a lie down!
