Today has been one of rushing around trying to get ready for our party tomorrow night - all those last minute preparations - awards needing to be framed, winners names checked for the hundredth time on the five hundredth document - no room for mistakes here. Presentation prepared and sorted. Outfit aired. .....all of this and a full day's real work too.

Think of me tomorrow night at 10pm when you are all relaxing at home and I'll be on stage in front of hundreds of people dispensing awards to the UK OTC industry. I hope they are all happy at the end of the night - me, I'll be the one in the corner having a nervous breakdown!

As the Egg Marketing Board are fond of telling us, the egg is the most versatile and fast of foods you can imagine. So, fried egg sandwiches for lunch and this Sherri egg, complete with feather came out of the box and I thought 'that's such a nice symbol of the value of home-produced food' so the pic had to be taken.

I'm sure you have seen our eggs before - several times so I won't bore you with more stories of gorgeous, friendly creatures who follow you around the garden clucking....ooops there I go again.

Needless to say the taste is magnificent - can't be beaten, oh that was a terrible yolk, crack a better one next time - that's all white - there won't be another one tonight!
