Nothing in my life recently has been more welcome than shutting the door behind me as I arrived home from taking Colin to the station. Not because of anything he did or said and not because I've not enjoyed his company throughout this frenetically paced weekend, simply so I could have a bit of quiet time. I'm still exhausted from yesterday's mad dash to cook a meal for my folks after a heavy night with my friends.
So, as a relief from all the dashing around, I've been pottering about with my close-up lenses, taking pictures of things other than flowers. I bought this necklace in a sale a few years ago and I love the mix of textures, smooth creamy pearls, metal and cut glass 'stones'. Whenever I wear it, people always comment on it.
I think tonight must be a recharge of batteries - something simple for supper followed by an early night, ready for the fray again tomorrow morning.
