happy birdtable

Today is my birthday. I've been treated all day by my friends and colleagues. I've had breakfast in bed, pressies from David to open over toast and marmalade, I had a mad rendition of 'Happy Birthday to you' on my mobile from the lovely Champagne Hughie I got to work, went into my office to find a HUGE painting of a naked man on my office wall from 'the girlies' to give me something to look at, lunch at the pub and I've come home to a raft of lovely cards and emails from my friends all over the world and this - a hand-made birdtable, designed and made for me by David and given to me by 'the small creatures'. The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed another of my pressies from my SG, David - a new version of Photoshop (Elements v 2) that doesn't trash the exif data like 5 does!

I can't think of anything nicer as a gift than something home-made, both the birdtable and the painting fall into that category. Both David and Penny must have spent hours doing their gifts just for ME. That has made me feel very special indeed. In fact, it's made me feel 'the bee's knees' so thanks to you both.

And now? Half an hour in the bath with a Lush Sex Bomb (no, unfortunately not the gorgeous David, a fizz bomb from the very wonderful Lush) then off out to be wined and dined (well a curry and a Cobra actually).....

It's funny how things go, but this morning I was thinking of you and how you have a birthday around this time - but could I find the date written down anywhere?? But by pure coincidence here I am on one of my rare visits to the PC of an evening, surfing around to see what's what and I find myself just in time to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU from all of us - Linda, Tony, William and James, piggies, chukkies and our rabbit lodger (unfortunately named 'Spurs'!!). Glad you've had a great day - love the bird table - now I know what to put on my Christmas list!
