shadows

Usually I'm jealous of my work colleagues who are at home with their families at 5.45pm when I've still got another 1 1/2 hours travelling to do before I'm home.

Today, for once, I had a meeting that actually worked in my favour - a meeting in Basingstoke that lasted until 4.45pm and so I got home at 5.20pm - hurrah!

We celebrated with a walk in the woods with each other, the dogs and a tennis ball - the tennis ball was lost within half an hour and Archie spent the rest of the trip chasing the rabbits that had come out to enjoy the evening sun. Rosie was oblivious to rabbits and one ran under her feet at one stage.

We ambled around taking photos and chatting. It was amazingly difficult to get this shot because, for some inexplicable reason, the dogs insisted on staying only a few feet away from me while I was framing the shot and kept getting in the frame. You can't win - when you want them by your side they won't come and when you don't they stick like glue.....dogs, who'd have them?

...............well, actually I wouldn't be without them for the world but don't tell them that!
