At the end of a long day the last thing I wanted was to be waiting on Epsom station for an hour waiting for a train to Guildford. My heart sank as I watched one train after another being cancelled - the hot weather to blame apparently.

I eventually got to Guildford forty five minutes later than I should have done and joy of joy my connection train was also delayed so I managed to get it.

While on the final leg of my journey, I always put on some lippy so I look my best for David when I get off the train....today was no exception!

I remembered a conversation between my sister and myself just before I finally plucked up the courage to leave my ex-husband. When I told her of my plans, aside from being not in the least bit surprised, she said, 'I knew there was something badly wrong when my big sister stopped wearing her lippy'. She didn't quite realise how much I had died from the inside out. I've been talking to her a lot today because she's been 'looking after her big sis', who has been a bit cheesed off. Thanks for the moral support Jan!

So, now I'm with David, my lippy is a must. Whatever the circumstances!
