How excited I was when the person formally known as Sharon, now known as Shazbop emailed me this morning to say we were going to be on TOTP2 tonight with 'our boys' Roman Holliday.

A huge stroke of luck of the kind only normally to be had by the golden ones came my way when I realised I was out on a client visit this afternoon and would be able to scurry home in time for the start of the programme at 6.20pm (normally I don't get in till 7.30pm).

Wowie, excellent, VHS tape at the ready, dough boy hat on, I sat down to wait for the thrilling spectacle of 'our boys' performing their seminal hit 'Don't try to stop it' with Shazbop and I dancing as though possessed in the front row.

I waited and waited and they didn't come on....the end credits came up and I still felt foolish in my dough boy hat and still waited for them. BUT, they didn't appear - the person who alerted Shazbop to the news had made a mistake, she'd read Tuesday's programme and thought it was Wednesday's programme. Aw shucks - not only was it the wrong night but the right night had already gone.

Devastated, I am.....inconsolable.......heartbroken......GUTTED!
