As some of you will have noticed, I've got a new camera! It's a Canon G3 so no more complaining about the lack of control over camera and hence my pics. Any shortcomings now are operator error and that alone!

Ginny, who is a breath of fresh air at all times, bought my 'point and shoot' from me so she can take pics of her family and her lover, Nigel! My legacy of starting this diary with a point and shoot only has now been superseded by my desire for more flexibility over my pics. I used my new-found ability to change the ISO setting up to 200ASA to shoot this pic in natural light, rather than use a flash.

I reckon it's easy to see Ginny's wonderful, ebullient shining personality glowing through the pic. It's about time she featured in 'pic of the day'.
