As you all know, I prefer to travel to work by train. Today I drove!

Last time I drove to work I was almost killed by a lorry jack-knifing in front of me. I only avoided hitting the lorry because there was a wide grass verge between the tail of the lorry and the central crash barrier.

Today on my way to work I got stuck in a jam where some poor soul had been seriously injured (get better soon) and was being loaded into the back of an ambulance as I drove past. On my way home I thought I was safe as I was going home early to do some 'thinking' work in the peace and quiet of home. No such luck. Another pile-up meant I sat in my car for an hour and barely moved. A two hour journey home when I left the office at 1.40pm was no joke.

The carriage ways filled up with people wandering about smoking and eating. The sky darkened and darkened and the heavens opened! What a day.
