In a desperate, vain attempt to make two rickety kitchen units with a bit of worktop balanced on top look like a real working kitchen (oh and the cupboards don't have any shelves tall enough), these things have ended up adorning the worktop alongside the microwave.

They do, though, convey something of the satisfaction of the formation of a single whole relationship from the lives of two separate people - the pepper and salt pots belonged to David - a pressie from his sister and excellent choice too, Linda H. The oils and vinegars came from my store cupboards and the chillis from David's plants from last year.

So, together they make for salad dressing heaven!
