WOW - we have got friends...

For the second day in a row we have spent out time with gorgeous people. Yesterday it was Gary and today we are in the company of Colin - one of my oldest and dearest friends and his sister Sue, of whom we have become very fond of late. Mainly "of late" because until we came here we'd only met her once.

We met for an early lunch because DM and I had an unbreakable date with Sky Sports later in the day. Sue found an amazing Lebanese Arabic restaurant in Sparkbrook and here is a photo of the empty plates from our feast. I LOVE middle eastern food despite not encountering its charms until I was an adult, which in itself seems criminal given that I lived in the Middle East for a couple of years as a child. Anyway, taboulleh that was the real deal, ful medames,hummus, spicy potatoes, falafal and flatbreads - yum, yum, yum.

All of that great company and fabulous food then home to see the mighty Tottenham Hotspur beat Chelsea. I'm not sure it gets much better than this.
