Our dogs are deprived. There is no getting away from it. We are BAD parents. Why? Because we don’t eat meat so our beloved babies never get meat scraps from our leftover meals. They do have a meat-based diet – we don’t feel it’s right to deprive them of their natural diet, even if we don’t eat meat ourselves.

JD and Lola are then, lucky to have doting grandparents who bring them snackettes to supplement their normal daily diet. My Mum and Dad are here and they love to go to the local pub for dinner (weird given that neither of them drink). Tonight my Mum had ham and chips in the pub and she left quite a lot of high quality ham, which got wrapped in a paper napkin and brought home for the pampered pooches.

OK so you decide? Are they pampered to within an inch of their lives or are they deprived and unloved?
