18th March 2015 - those summer nights

OK – this’ll sound weird but we’re not opening our bedroom curtains at the moment because we’re worried our neighbours are climbing our scaffolding and peeking in while we’re out. It’s a long story but they are creepy and hence it’s not beyond the bounds of possibility.

So, it’s always dark in our bedroom. Today, with the benefit of a fabulous weather forecast for tomorrow, I decided to change the sheets a couple of days early so that I can wash them and they can dry out-doors tomorrow These are the clean ones awaiting our first night within their care. This is made possible by the fact that the days are now long enough to be light before and after getting home from work, coupled with positive weather forecasts. Summer nights indeed.

Again, this is deffo weird, the pleasure of slipping between clean, freshly laundered and IRONED sheets is one of my little pleasures. I can’t deny it. I LOVE the feeling of getting into crisply ironed sheets. There is little else that compares. Even though this is another late-night grab shot, I do really love the edge of my book pile sneaking into the edge of my shot…it’s this big even aside from the fact that I’m currently reading my fourth-in-a-row ebook and there are another five on the Hudl waiting for my attention. Paper, ebook, whatever. I am a book fiend.
