After a couple of months of perfect weather the “sol” has gone from Cornwall with a bang. We’re now getting torrential rain in waves. It’s coming down so hard onto bone dry land that it’s not soaking in but it’s making mini rivers that are flowing off the moor and onto the roads, spreading rocks and debris everywhere. I’m now really glad I persevered with the mowing of the lawns because it would have been much more difficult to when wet.
A couple of weeks ago I made fajitas for guests and bought a couple of packs of Sol (Mexican beer), partly as a marinade and partly as drinking fodder. It’s all gone now... the Sol has gone away at the same time as the sol!
Still, on the bright side, only 15 days until the start of the season! I can't wait.
