If Lola was a little bit cleverer than she is, then she’d be thinking there is no justice in her world. No sooner does the Premier League end and the players all go off to the Seychelles or wherever, than the whole shebang starts again and she’s been tormented by the World Cup because obviously this year many of the players have headed to Brazil with their national teams.

It’s a good job the weather is kind at the moment because we’ve been spending our evenings with our French Windows open so she’s been able to slink outside last night and again tonight. Actually, the interesting thing is that she’s getting a pretty good deal out of it because the evening air is filled with the sound of the blackbirds singing and that’s a glorious thing.

Take tonight, our Super Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris is on the pitch, mind you, he’s doing his knitting at the moment. I think he’s only touched the ball once! Also Wilson Palacios (ex-Super-Spurs) was on the pitch until moments ago…now he’s taking an early bath having been sent off for a rhinoceros charge on one of the French players in the penalty area. Silly boy.

So, Lola is outside sulking. She's playing her fugitive drama queen role perfectly and I’ve downed tools to watch the match. I think I deserve the evening off after 24 hours of work over the weekend on top of two days at school with only a couple of hours of sleep. I’m not prepared properly for tomorrow but I can’t do any more. I am numb and want to cry.
