OK, OK this is a classic cop-out shot. It’s taken in the last of the evening’s sunshine and is all I could muster after a long and gruelling day, that included PE where some year six boys decided that we all needed to do a “ton up”, by which they meant 20 each of sit-ups, press-ups, star jumps and two other types of human torture, the names of which I can’t recall. It’s been hot and sunny and, as anyone who knows me will testify, I’m hardly either in the first flush of youth or have the svelte-like figure I once had. It was hard, hard, work. Despite the torture, I enjoyed PE and I was able to practice some fledgling tennis skills. After school’s Zumba club, which took place in a sunny playground almost finished me off though!

If there is any justice, tomorrow when I step on the scales, I’ll have lost a few pounds! (Despite this hope, I’ll bet I haven’t though.)

Today I’ve topped and tailed my school day with lots of housework at both ends. I WILL be ready for the weekend. I WILL be ready for the weekend.
