If you go down to the woods today, you’re sure of a big surprise. You could be skipping along, thinking about bunny rabbits, squirrels and song birds when you come across a clearing. Even if you are thinking about the stresses of work, paying the mortgage or whether the car will last another year and you might just find this fantastic spot. In the clearing are beautiful, gigantic hand-carved wooden musical instruments. Some are percussion, others stringed, all strangely beautiful.

They move and shimmer in the sunshine, gently playing a tune without the help of human hands. A sparrow lands on a string and a note is emitted, not from the throat of the bird, but from the string. A deer rushes past and beats a note from another.

What is their role? Why are they here? Who do they belong to? Who made them? What music do they make? How is it that no-one knows they are here? Where did they come from? How did they get here?

All I know is that they are played by spirited little angels who laugh and make glorious music!
