DM is sitting where the local hoodies normally hang out – on the giant sundial in Armada Way, Plymouth. He may look relaxed in the spring sunshine but I’d say there is more than a little relief in there. He’s got his wife back today.
We went on a family outing to Plymouth (me, ‘im, my Mum and Dad) to hand in my dissertation. Yep, it’s done. I can do no more. I believe my research was fab. I know I did something of real value. However, the downside was the written paper was rushed and I’m already going over it in my head and thinking “oh I wish I’d said that”…but I can’t. It’s over. I don’t care one jot if the markers don’t like it or what mark I get because I am proud of it anyway AND, most importantly I learned a lot.
The good thing is that now, I may be able to stay afloat while I finish my teaching practice, hopefully qualify and with lots and lots of luck and a following wind an interview panel will see enough of a spark in me to offer me a job. I can only keep on keeping on and trying my hardest, there is no more.
