I’ve had “This is…Big Audio Dynamite” on the CD player in the Sunshine Bus today on my way to and from Plymouth so if you saw a puke green Renault Scenic covered in bees and flowers, bouncing along the road while a bonkers woman did seat dancing then I’m responsible.
I learned a few things about myself:
1. I revert to the level of acne-infested seventeen year-old and drive like a demon with my sounds blasting out of the car stereo
2. You can’t hear the indicator with the stereo blasting
3. Big Audio Dynamite still sound amazing to me even with the ever-so-slightly dodgy mid-eighties production
4. I’d forgotten how music has the power to make you sublimely happy!
While I was belting out "E=MC2" I heard this line “united we stand, divided we’re lumbered” and although I’m as sure as I can be that Tony Benn wasn’t responsible for saying it, I’m sure it’s a sentiment he’d approve of so this is for a diarist who I’d certainly consider to be “Premier League” from another who’s in the "Isthmian League division one" (if that)! Thanks to an inspirational man for his unerring support for those who were unable to help themselves. May he rest in peace.
This is my pictorial representation of the line.
Thanks to DM for helping me to once again defy the laws of physics!
